Introduction to the Project Carbon® AS68RC Billet Stator Support Assembly
One of the most common failures of the AS68RC transmission is the stator shaft assembly. Even unmodified trucks will often see this component fail. We at Next Gen Drivetrain proudly engineer and manufacture the only billet stator shaft in existence for the AS68RC transmission.
This stator shaft is manufactured from our industry-disrupting Carbon-225(i) Billet Carbon-imbued steel. This is the most durable material ever used to manufacture transmission parts, backed by our 2 year/Unlimited mileage billet parts warranty. Most companies will not warranty hard parts, but we proudly do.
What is Next Gen Drivetrain’s Carbon-225(i) Billet Steel?
Carbon-225(i) is a steel manufacturing product and process proprietary to Next Gen Drivetrain. We engineered this material specifically to be the most durable material ever used for hard parts inside automotive transmissions. In fact, it is so overwhelmingly durable, that we back all of our Carbon-225(i) Billet Hard Parts with a 2 year/Unlimited mileage guarantee. You break it, we replace it. It’s that simple.
Carbon-225(i) begins life as a variation of ultra low-porousity 4140 carbon-steel that undergoes an extreme, multi-stage heat treating process to increase yield and tensile strength as much as possible. The result is a jaw-dropping density of 7.85g/cm^3. After the billet meets the specifications necessary to be used in product, the material is then precision machined to the product’s shape.
After this, all Carbon-225(i) steel products must undergo some of the most intense quality control measures available, hand testing random selections of product to ensure the perfection you expect from Next Gen Drivetrain. If you want to guarantee your transmission against hard parts failure, you need Carbon-225(i).
